Peter Lee
Peter provides extensive knowledge and experience in organizational behaviour, strategic planning, team development and culture change. Peter's passion is to help organizations understand and utilize the strengths of the corporate culture(s) to effectively reinforce business strategies, as well as to adapt and respond to changing markets.

His approach to strategic planning turns strategy into action at all levels and engages employees in accepting accountability for personal and organizational success. Peter's work philosophy is to help teams and individuals in organizations talk, think, and act in ways that produce meaningful interaction and powerful results.


Russell Hunter
Russ is the National Director of the Human Performance Institute Canada - He brings over 10 years of experience as a business leader, keynote speaker, facilitator, and performance coach - as well as athletic achievements in the sport of triathlon.

Prior to becoming National Director, Russ was the founder and CEO of Boldeye Solutions, a market consulting firm with operations in Vancouver, Chicago, and London. Russell contributes articles to publications including Business 2.0 Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, and Canadian Business. He speaks regularily on the topic of leading with energy at business conferences and association events worldwide.

As an accomplished Ironman triathlete, Russ has competed in races across North America and in Europe. He now leverages his passion for endurance sports to enhance the lives of children in Canada. In 2001 he founded the IronChild Foundation, a registered charity which provides mentoring and educational opportunities for children living with chronic Illnesses.


Barry Billings, BSc, CD, CEC
Barry has an infectious passion for leadership and team development. As a result he thrives in environments which call for a bold facilitator, a provocative coach and a dynamic implementation partner. This reinforces his belief that a consultant must be every bit the role model for exceptional leadership they seek to liberate within individuals, teams and organizations.

While Barry's career began in the military, his 20 years of experience spans a variety of industries, including international employment in Germany and Australia. His transparency enables powerful relationships to evolve with frontline employees and senior executives alike and he is often sited for his capacity to quickly connect to key cultural norms and systemic challenges. Most recently Barry was employed with Business Objects as a Senior Organization Development consultant where he partnered with senior leaders to co-create sustainable business solution. Barry also designed and delivered programs to develop facilitation, coaching and performance management.

Barry's background includes an undergraduate degree in Geology (BSc), certification as a Work Place Trainer, accreditations in Team Management Systems (TMS), and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching (CEC).


Isabelle Clements
Isabelle is a creative, energetic and fluently bilingual (French/English) professional with over twenty years of diverse and global HR experience. She most recently spent four years leading the North American Learning and Development Team for a global Technology Company, and was previously the Global HR Director of their Customer Support Division.

Prior to working in the High Tech industry, Isabelle assumed several HR roles in the Airline Industry. She started her career with Wardair, and spent 10 years with Canadian Airlines. In her last year at Canadian Airlines, she was heavily involved in the Integration work associated with the acquisition process of Canadian by Air Canada. Her integration work experience came in handy when the High Tech company she later joined was purchased by one of its main competitors. As a result of this integration work, Isabelle has developed a passion and expertise around Organizational Culture and its impact on Employee Engagement and on the bottom line for businesses.

Isabelle is driven by values and results, and excels at partnering with business leaders at all levels. She has international work experience and thrives in various cultural environments. She is a natural, high-energy trainer and group facilitator and has experience in the areas of Change Management, Organizational Culture, Leadership & Management, and High Performance Teams. She is an MBTI qualified facilitator and has done extensive work in the areas of individual development and team building using MBTI profiles.


Tom Dent, MBA, CMC
Tom has over 15 years experience facilitating and coaching senior executives in the development and execution of strategic plans. He has worked with public, private and crown organizations ranging in size from start-ups to multi-billion dollar companies. Tom's expertise includes: strategic and tactical planning; facilitation; stakeholder consultation; business process design and implementation; and change management. With his MBA, Tom brings particular expertise in conducting organizational analysis and trend data to help companies better understand their strategic context.

Tom's style is to create the space for authentic conversations to happen, allowing critical issues to be identified, generating engagement in solution development and creating commitment to successful implementation. His personal definition of success is when teams have clarity of direction, are focused on the critical issues, and are rigorously attentive to the execution of plans they create and own.


Anabelle Donnovan
Annabelle brings over 15 years of experience to Tekara as a specialist in leadership and management development and employee engagement. Her most recent experience includes serving as the Director of Organizational Development & Learning for Vancity Savings Credit Union (one of Canada's top 50 employers).

Annabelle began her career as a labour and employment lawyer but now focuses on helping leaders reach their fullest potential, as individuals and as team members. This is important to her because she knows first hand how great it can be to work in amazing environments where individuals are growing personally and professionally and people genuinely want the best for each other.


Bob Hancox, B.Ed, CPCC
For over 25 years Bob has been a successful leader in public and private sector organizations - specializing in leadership coaching and organizational development. His life’s mission is to strengthen leaders by designing and implementing programs and approaches that help people develop their authentic leadership abilities.

As the lead of the Strategic Coaching Practice for Tekara, Bob is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) with thousands of hours of coaching hundreds of leaders. His coaching clients include Board Directors, CEO's and senior leaders across Canada, the United States, Europe, China and India. Bob is also a key developer of Tekara's Coaching Conversations™ program and has delivered that program in Canada, India and China. In Oct, 2010, he will be presenting those concepts in the United States to leaders that are gathering from over 30 countries. Bob was selected as one of three finalists for the prestigious 2009 Coaches Canada Canadian Coach of the Year Award.

His experience blends the value of a coaching approach with organizational development and leadership effectiveness principles. Bob's background also includes postgraduate training in Applied Behavioural Sciences, advanced training with the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and Team Learning Lab Certification. He has also developed and implemented major change programs involving the William Bridges Transition model as well as the Kotter and ODR methodology. Bob enjoys working with clients that are faced with challenging situations involving large-scale implementation and change efforts with multiple stakeholders.


Leona Kolla, MA
Leona Kolla brings 25 years of leadership experience working in four provinces in the private, non-profit and government sectors, along with expertise in organizational development, leadership development, succession management, executive coaching and facilitation. Past positions include Vice-President Development, Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation; Associate Deputy Minister, Saskatchewan Economic Development; and President, Edmonton Convention and Tourism Authority.

Leona has led major change initiatives, reorganizations, downsizings and expansions, as well as planned and implemented key strategic priorities in highly sensitive, political environments. Change, renewal, and exploration of new paths and approaches are the hallmark of her life and career. She holds degrees from Royal Roads University, the University of Toronto and the University of Saskatchewan.


Dave Koot, BA, MA
With a solid leadership, educational and training background, Dave offers performance consulting and coaching services to a clientele from various business sectors. While maintaining his enthusiasm and humour, Dave asks the tough, strategic questions that leaders, managers and teams need to address.

He is committed to "playing the bigger game" where he puts himself on the line for his values and beliefs. Dave is accredited to deliver various team-building and assessment tools such as Energy for Performance®, BarOn Quotient Inventory™, Insights Discovery System™ and various 360-degree feedback instruments.



Susanne Matheson, BBA, CPCC
Susanne's passion is helping organizations achieve unprecedented results by creating workplaces where people can do their best work. Her 15 years of experience in the human resources field has focused on the areas of leadership and organizational development, strategic planning, culture, change implementation, team effectiveness and performance management.

Susanne is accredited in the Insights Discovery System™ and is a professionally certified coach. She is a Board Member with the Minerva Foundation and devotes much of her spare time to this worthy cause.



Lydia Richards
Lydia Richards brings twenty years of experience to her corporate clients. She is a certified professional coach, with degrees in psychology and divinity and specialized training in professional leadership development. Lydia’s unique blend of experience, as a stockbroker, venture capital project manager and pastor, enable Lydia to support senior executives into in their transformation to visionary leaders. Prior to joining Tekara Lydia was founder and president of Teamworks, a coaching company specializing in team dynamics and leadership development for team leaders.

Lydia’s coaching is authentic, rigorous, and positive. She helps leaders at all levels find their place of fullest engagement. Leaders find work more rewarding. Their teams benefit from stronger, more authentic leadership, and companies realize a more engaged workforce. Through dynamic coaching everybody wins.


Claire Simpkins, BA, CHRP, MBA
Claire is a dedicated consultant skilled in facilitating individual and organizational development. A strategic thinker and an engaging communicator, Claire is accomplished in helping organizations achieve clarity, overcome obstacles, and develop practical and effective strategies that meaningfully engage its workforce through times of change and transformation.

With extensive experience working with organizations and individuals through periods of change and transition, Claire is committed to helping organizations increase the likelihood of achieving its business goals by effectively anticipating and addressing the needs of its employees. In addition to being an accomplished coach and consultant certified in the use of a variety of assessment and feedback instruments, Claire is an experienced trainer, facilitator and public speaker.



Staff

Kristann Boudreau, MRM
Kristann focuses primarily on designing powerful learning experiences and programs in the areas of leadership development and personal effectiveness. She brings both experience and training as a group facilitator, adult educator and professional coach. Her educational background also includes a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Resource and Environmental Management. Kristann continues to use her research skills to keep current with the thinking of key authors in business, and to hunt for new tools, models and best practices for Tekara to apply in our work with clients.

Before joining Tekara, she spent several years working in the field of environmental management and stakeholder engagement in a large corporation. During that time, Kristann experienced first-hand the challenges facing young professionals and emerging leaders today. She is passionate about equipping leaders at all levels with the skills and tools to create workplaces where people are known and valued for their unique contribution.


Laurie MacDonald
As Tekara's Executive Coordinator, Laurie brings an extensive administrative background to Tekara. She oversees office administration, manages client inquiries, and coordinates financial operations at our head office in Vancouver.

Laurie is passionate about people and cultivating community. She is also a singer and composer who integrates community and social issues into her music.


 
Phyllis MacIntyre, BEng, CHRP, MBA
Phyllis MacIntyre is passionate about learning and development of people. She draws upon experience in adult learning, organizational development, and strategic management to create client solutions. She designs products and customized learning that blends training, self-directed learning, collaborative learning, facilitated workshops, work-based activity, and e-learning. She is committed to supporting the Tekara community and clients through instructional design, research, education, communications, and consulting services.
